Do you work with clients in my country and time zone?

Yes. I am based in the United Kingdom and work online with Indians living across the UK and Europe, the US and Canada, and the Gulf. Sessions run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings plus weekends, UK time, with slots deliberately kept for US and Gulf time zones.

Will I have to explain Indian family dynamics?

No. That is the point of working with someone who knows both worlds. You will not spend the first ten minutes describing what a joint family is, why your mother's disappointment carries weight, or why saying no to a relative is not a simple matter.

What if I am not in crisis, just tired?

Accepted Answer

That is who most of my clients are. Successful on paper, functioning well, quietly depleted. You do not need a diagnosis or a breakdown to deserve a place to think.

Question 4

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number. Some concerns settle in eight to twelve sessions; longer-standing patterns take longer. We review openly every few months, so you are never in an open-ended arrangement without knowing why.

Is online counselling really as effective?

Accepted Answer

For this work, yes — and often better. Consistency matters more than a shared room, and online means you can keep the same hour whether you are in Manchester, Dubai or New Jersey, including through relocations and long trips home.

Can I bring my partner or a family member in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Couples sessions are available, and there are times when inviting a partner into an individual piece of work is useful. We agree it together beforehand, and your confidentiality is discussed clearly first.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. What you bring stays between us, with the standard exceptions where there is a serious risk of harm or a legal requirement. Nothing reaches your family, employer or community. I will explain this clearly in our first session.

What are your fees, and which currency?

Individual therapy is 55 minutes at £90 / US$120 / CA$160 / €100 / AED550. Couples therapy is 90 minutes at £140 / US$180 / CA$240 / €150 / AED825. Before any of that, there is a free 15-minute call — no obligation. A limited number of reduced-fee slots are held for students and those on dependent visas — please ask.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice can be rescheduled at no cost. Later cancellations are charged in full, as the time is held for you.

Question 10

Do you provide letters, assessments or visa reports?

Accepted Answer

I do not provide medico-legal or immigration reports. Where a clinical assessment or psychiatric input is appropriate in your country of residence, I will discuss it with you and help you find the right referral.
